I actually felt fine waking up this morning after last night; just a little headache if anything. I guess that I didn’t party all that hard, haha. But I’m totally okay with that because it means no crappy feelings all day the next day. I don’t think I will ever be that girl (although I know plenty of people who seem to strive to feel as crappy as possible the morning after going out).
Breakfast was b-fast cookie dough cereal. Yum!
1/3 c oats, scoop protein powder, almond butter, cinnamon, blueberries, and soymilk. Heated up in the microwave for a few seconds to melt the almond butter and bloobs a tiny bit. Then topped it with a little bit of flaxseed meal.
Lunch was not documented. Once again, I was hanging out with my boyfriend and when we actually get the opportunity to be together the focus is on him, not the blog. As it should be.
Dinner, however, was Phase 50-B of Operation “Use Up This Darn Jar of Marinara“. I liked the veggie-burger-as-meatballs idea, so I did that again today and threw in a handful of spinach for some greens as well. The jar is almost gone!
Last night, I went out for my friend’s 21st birthday. It was such a blast! Sometimes it’s nice to just get yourself all dressed up and go out on the town with a small group of good friends. We started out at Applebee’s for food and so she could have a drink. It actually wasn’t her first legal drink since her father took her out at 1am yesterday morning, to Applebee’s incidentally! A Long Island ice tea. I’ve never tried one of those before, but apparently she liked it! I have exactly 1 years + 2 weeks to decide what I want my first drink to be, but all I can think about is trying a Dirty Girl Scout (chocolate, dur)! Any suggestions on what my first real drink should be?
After dinner, we headed over to a club, one of the few open on a Sunday night. This was only the second club I’ve ever been to, but I thought that it was a hoot! Though, going with an awesome group of people was probably responsible for that. Anyways, it was Drag Night, so there were a bunch of fun performances. My friend even got some free drinks since it was her birthday! Ahhh, peer pressure. She was a champ though and took
one two for the team. Free is free, right?
Today was Day 1/7 of my summer break before classes start up again. Can you believe that the professors just (as in today) posted the textbooks that we’re going to need? Doesn’t give a lot of time, so I wasn’t able to get my books from my usual source (HELLO used book sellers on Amazon!) and had to pay much more to get the books from one of the local student bookstores instead so that I’d be sure to get them in time/get them at all. Though, have I ever mentioned to you guys before about my insane love of textbook buying? I really do enjoy getting new books every semester. Looking at the amount of material that I don’t know yet but will know by the end of the course. 🙂 I’m a nerd.
Yoga. Got to stretch those tight hip flexors from this weekend! In between a bit of dancing at the club last night and a good night’s sleep, my flexors actually weren’t all that bad this morning, and the yoga will just add to that and hopefully make for a stellar-feeling body tomorrow and for the rest of the week. This DVD workout always kills my arms, though. Getting easier to complete, but still very difficult for me.
