About Me

Welcome! My name is Ellen Ratliff and I am a 20-something fitness and nutrition nut.

I earned my BS at Michigan State University in Dietetics with a specialization in Health Promotion. Currently, I am completing a MS/DI program at Northern Illinois University in Nutrition & Dietetics. If all goes according to plan, I should be a Registered Dietitian in 2015.

I have been everywhere when it comes to fitness. At-home DVDs (a la Jillian Michaels, Crunch, Bob Harper), marathoner, and gym bunny meathead. My current obsession is weightlifting and I have my sights set on competing in a NPC Bikini competition. It would be a dream come true to be printed in a national fitness magazine as a fitness model.

I am currently a promoter for Top Shelf Supplements. From the website: “Our mission is to provide the best quality nutrition products to every one based on their needs and goals to help them reach a happy and healthy life.”

  1. I live in Michigan too and is going into the same career as you! Wootwoot! I’m just going to a community college now cause I’m poor but then I plan on transferring to Western or Wayne State. Maybe we’ll run into each other someday! šŸ™‚

  2. I attend Calvin College in Grand Rapids, but am actually considering transferring to MSU, my mommy’s alma mater to study nutrition and dietetics with the same goal as you! That’s so crazy that I found your blog though! I think these are signs that I need to get on that and transfer! šŸ˜‰
I also struggled with an ED… same as you. It’s hard, but we need to fight to recover and stay healthy. I’ve stopped counting calories and have adopting running, yoga, and rock climbing as my primary sports! I love that I find other vegans and students in MI who are interested in dietetics and healthy living! It makes me feel not so alone! šŸ™‚

  3. Hello! I’m a 20 year old Dietetic student too! Your blog is great, I am just having a nose about. I feel your camera pain. I really love photography but currently have a point and shoot, I am getting a lot better with it in manual setting though. Macro setting is my favourite too! Love that little flower. I look forward to reading your blog more, good luck with all of your goals I’m sure that you can achieve them and live the life you want!

  4. Aw I love the picture of you with your medals! : ) I hope to earn some of my own running medals sometime. ā¤
